If you expect to complete your education this month or the next, please choose 'a new graduate' in stead of 'a student'
If you have not yet received a CPR number, please send an e-mail to ca@ca.dk.
Full-time insured If you work more than 30 hours per week, you must choose full-time insured. If you are a new graduate, you must be full-time insured to be eligible for the maximum benefit rate for new graduates.
Part-time insurance Please note! As a part-time insured, you are only entitled to 2/3 of the rate for full-time insured. You should only choose this type of insurance if you want to work part-time (30 hours or less) or if you are a student over the age of 30 and do not meet the conditions for free student membership. If you work more than 30 hours per week, you must have full-time insurance. You can choose full-time insurance even if you currently work less than 30 hours per week, but once you have chosen part-time insurance, you can only switch from part-time to full-time insurance by either working more than 30 hours per week for three months, or by completing an admission-eligible education.
If you have been insured in another country please write the name of the country here
If you wish to join the voluntary early retirement scheme (efterlønsordningen), you must register no later than the day you turn 30. Members above the age of 30 can benefit from the scheme only if they started contributing earlier. - read more here.
Your type op work permit appears from the front page of your residence permit (opholdstilladelse). Holders of permit types E, J, P, R, Z or establishment card will not be eligible for benefits until their type of work permit enables them to take up any kind of work at a days' notice.
To be eligible for unemployment benefits when you complete your education, you must have lived in Denmark immediately before you began your education. It is not a requirement that you were registered in the National Population Register (Folkeregisteret) - only that you lived in Denmark, even if you stayed at a hotel or on a friend's couch.
According to the law you can be a free student member for a maximum of five years in total. We therefore recommend that you enter a date between 12 and 18 months after you started your education. This will enable you to continue your free student membership if your study time should exceed five years. Registration as a future member gives you full access to CA's services in the period until your official registration date.
